Apart from a lot of fundamental interest, vector Bessel beams are widely used in optical manipulation, material processing, and imaging. However, the existing description such remains fragmentary, especially when their scattering by small particles is considered. We propose new general classification all vortex beam types an isotropic medium based on superposition transverse Hertz potentials. This theoretical framework contains duality coordinate rotations as elementary matrix operations naturally describes relations between various types. leads to bases for uncovers novel type with circularly symmetric energy density. also discuss quadratic functionals fields (such density Poynting vector) derive orthogonality Altogether, it provides comprehensive reference properties that may be relevant applications.
